I haven't read it yet, just seen lots of spoiler images (here) but it looks like tomorrow's Buffy comic (issue #14) is going to be a total Spuffy feast.

Good writing, bad writing, cheesy fanservice, at this point I don't care and am just basking in the Spuffiness of it all. Of course it's bound to go horribly wrong again any time now.

Also, it seems I totally called the identity of the bad guy based on the solicitation and covers of #16. That's a first (and probably last) for me!

Finally, sorry for not even managing to make a measly one post per month. I just don't know where to find the time.

"Love"? That almost makes me want to check it out. Time to return to the library and look at S8 to remind myself why I don't read them.

I read it and it made me so happy! X3

Adorable issue and I like the Big Bad too and yes, I'm enjoying the Spuffyness while it lasts. Maybe they're going to ruin everything horribly but for now everything is Spuffy and nothing hurts.

I wasn't interested in comics until season 10. Because of the spuffiness, I did buy the digital copies of 11, 12,13 and I'm excited for 14.

You are correct, it most likely won't last long but I'm basking in it while it last.

Hmm, while enjoying the Spuffiness in the previous arc, I'm beginning to feel it's a bit too much myself.

This is partly because it gives me even more of a 'the rug is going to be pulled out from under me any moment' feeling, and partly because I think they're overdoing it, which in itself makes me suspicious.

But even if it is just straight-up what it seems, I think it's now time to rein back on the Spuffyness a bit and get back to other plots (Xander/Anya, for instance).

I mean, it is nice to be pandered to (especially after season 8), but I always feel like I have gen readers looking over my shoulder and scowling. :(

Totally my problem.

I'm with Shapinglight in being unable to relax and enjoy the Spuffy because part of me is still convinced that at any minute the writers will go "HA HA!" in a Nelson Muntz voice and reveal that it's all been a cruel joke. As they do. But damn, it's nice while it lasts.

I did get #14 today and I did read it. I enjoyed it but to me the spuffiness was better in #12.

I dunno if it's more.

It's certainly not less, though.

It does occur to me that the Spuffy Latino Collective may have kidnapped Christos Gage's cat and are threatening to pull its whiskers out if he doesn't give them exactly what they want. ;)
