My fandom year-and-a-bit

Now that we're at the start of a new year, it's time to look back on my past fandom year, starting when I first got on to LJ at Christmas 2014. Below is a categorized overview of my vids, icons and other artwork that I debuted on LJ since then. I'm listing both new work and older work that I made before my LJ-days and that I had already posted in other places such as BuffyTube.

2015 was not a good year for me in terms of free time, but I'm pleased with how much I still managed to do. Many thanks to all my LJ friends and fellow fans who have welcomed and encouraged me -- I hope we will have more fandom fun together in 2016!

Considering your lack of free time you certainly managed to be really productive and produced some really awesome stuff. And I'll say again how much I loved my 'Searching for Jim' banner.

Thank you. I really enjoyed making that one, and it's still one of my favourite creations from last year. It would be great if I could do more this year.

In fact I've been part of online fandom since 2008, but in the first years I only posted on the IDW comics forum. Then I joined BuffyTube and only last year (no, it's the year before that now!) I expanded my activities to LJ. I haven't regretted it!

Thank you! I suppose that instead of feeling frustrated about all the things I wanted to do, but didn't manage, I should really focus on what I did achieve, which I suppose isn't too shoddy given the circumstances. I definitely couldn't have had a better and more inspiring example than you, not just in terms of artwork but even more importantly in friendliness and supportiveness!

A lot of these, I missed, I don't know how but I did. I love the Giles banner and icons (in fact I snagged the real men drink tea icon.)

I like the idea of an end of year post but in my case I think it would be redundant since I have an a/w journal and any one can pop around and see the thing I made. Although there are a few things I haven't posted to my a/w journal yet. I never post the awards I have won for the different challenges and I always wonder if I should start.

Thank you and no problem about having missed stuff -- I find there's so much going on that it's simply impossible to keep up. I probably missed loads of yours too!

About the awards, I say: if you've got them, flaunt them :-)
