Yes, I did it -- I finally finished the story banner I promised to
sparrow2000 for her story Searching for Jim. I kept her waiting since January; I hope it's been worth the wait!
On top is the latest version. In my original versions (below) I had Jim as "the man in the moon" but on second thought, that was probably a bit too whimsical to fit the mood of the story. So I've revised it, and this is the result:

This is the original version:

And the second version with a lighter backdrop (and a slightly brighter Jim too):

And now I'm really going to stop making new versions!

Date: 2015-05-25 10:56 am (UTC)If there's anything you'd like to see changed, please let me know. I could easily change the size and the text. I also thought maybe I should have made the background a bit lighter -- can you still even make out that it's Père Lachaise? (Then again, it *is* supposed to be night.)
ETA: OK, so I just went ahead and made an alternative version with a slightly lighter background. Just see which one you like best! You can find it HERE.
ETA2: Sorry, I can't seem to stop making alternatives. Here's another one, this time without Jim as "the man in the moon". This is my personal favourite so far, but of course it's your choice! Latest version is HERE.

Date: 2015-05-25 12:17 pm (UTC)I think the ones with the slightly lighter background on the trees have the edge, just to give a bit more contrast - but I love both Jim M in the moom and the one of him looking all moody as a full size face. I think I'm going to snag them both because they're both wonderful. The other one is too, but those two both really get under my skin
Hugs you again

Date: 2015-05-25 11:35 am (UTC)ETA: Actually, on second thought, I think it was a bit too whimsical. So I've revised the banner and am much pleased with the result. The moon is still there, just without Jim this time!

Date: 2015-06-01 12:51 am (UTC)Whatever for? *lol* Of course I LOVE making revisions of my own banners so take that with a barrel of salt.
I feel like I'm the only one because most people post the "one and only" version but I often post several and let folks decide what they like best. Also, I find I often have to go through several revisions before the project decides what it wants to be.
Which is to say, revisions? bring 'em on! :D

Date: 2015-06-01 11:45 pm (UTC)most people post the "one and only" version
Actually that's what I tried to do, but then I had second thoughts about the supposedly "one and only" version that I had posted, so I added another one and then another one :-)
